Knight Foundation's High School Journalism Initiative
The initiative aims to teach the next generation of journalists, increase student media and improve First Amendment awareness and use of news in the classroom among all high school students.
The web site highschooljournalism.org plays a leading role.
A project of the American Society of Newspaper Editors, it offers lesson plans, advice from pros, a free web-hosting service for high school newspapers available to all U.S. high schools, a free news service, a partnership program for daily newspapers and individual high schools or school districts and a national ad network that connects you to hard-to-reach teens.
